First Russian aramid fabric manufacturing facility put in production in Moscow region
A unique weaving factory, put in production on May, 19 2015 by the Group of Companies ENERGOCONTRACT is set to revive long lost traditions of aramid fabric manufacturing in Russia.
The construction of a new plant started in summer 2013 in a small village of Marusino, which in only 18 months turned into a 8500 sq m manufacturing site with a perfectly adjusted infrastructure. The total investment into the project is estimated at approximately 480 mln rubles.
To ensure and keep its competitive advantage in the long run ENERGOCONTRACT supplied the factory with the best equipment currently available on the market. Weaving looms by PICANOL will allow for manufacturing of 1.6 mln lin m of heat-resistant fabric a year.
By launching its own weaving facility ENERGOCONTRACT aims at raising the local share in production cost to 70%.
To the moment, ENERGOCONTRACT has invested over 1 bln rubles to the development of manufacturing in Russia, including over 80 mln rubles of investments to R&D (Research and Advanced Development) over the period of 2011-2014. Integration of innovative technologies to manufacturing has resulted, in its turn, in substantial upgrade in workplace safety levels at customer companies and fall in rates of industrial injuries.
